“The nice and cozy temperature throughout winter and post-monsoon season primarily contributed to this,” it mentioned
In 2016, the annual imply air temperature for the nation was 0.710 diploma Celsius above regular. It was 0.550 diploma Celsius and 0.541 diploma Celsius above the common temperature in 2009 and 2017, respectively.
In 2010, the annual imply air temperature stood 0.539 diploma Celsius above regular, it mentioned.
The India Meteorological Division (IMD) mentioned thunderstorms and lightning reportedly claimed 787 lives in India in 2021, whereas 759 individuals died in heavy rainfall and flood-related incidents that yr, it mentioned.
Cyclonic storms claimed 172 lives and 32 others died resulting from different excessive climate occasions, the assertion added.
